Requirements vary by state and waterway. Usually. In New Zealand talk to your regional council; in Australia, your state waterways authority and local council. ### What about tides? A floating dock rises and falls with the tide, so the deck stays at the same height above the water. Gangways and mooring are set up for your tidal range. ### How long does assembly take? Float Pods pin and bolt together in about an hour for a small jetty. Walk Pod walkways depend on the timber frame. ### How is it anchored? With chains or ropes to mooring blocks, or with pile hoops where piles already exist. The right method depends on depth, tide and exposure. ### Can I mix pod types? Yes. A Main Pod landing with a Float Pod finger, or a Walk Pod walkway leading to a Float Pod jetty, are common combinations.
