## Boating rules in New Zealand

Recreational boats in New Zealand generally don't need registering, but Maritime NZ safety rules apply, along with your regional harbourmaster's navigation bylaws on speed, lifejackets and mooring. Check the bylaws for the water you'll use.

No. If you can build a deck, you can build a Pontoonz.

### What motor can I use?

The 8.1m cedar-clad houseboat runs a 9.9hp four-stroke high-thrust outboard. Tell us your hull and load and we'll advise.

### Can I pick up from Auckland?

Yes, or we freight to your address anywhere in New Zealand.
